Washington alloy 6013 welding rod is a shallow penetrating flux coating stick electrode designed to produce a flat bead on sheet metal to thin gauge material. The easy re-strike ability of the 6013 makes it a great choice for tight spaces where positive, precision arc starts are necessary. The soft arc, easy slag removal, and low spatter give the 6013 a beautiful weld deposit that can even be welded vertical down. This is an AC/DC welding rod that is typically used on auto-body, Storage Tanks, Machinery Guards, Metal Furniture, gates, or anywhere that appearance is important or desirable.
